Watch the time-lapse of the building demolition here!
********** Thursday, June 1st **********
As previously communicated, we are preparing to demolish the old Fort Worth branch building located at 2535 N.E. 28th Street. We plan on starting the demolition around the first couple weeks in June. In order to provide a safe environment for our customers and employees, we are required to put up a construction fence around the property. This will temporarily block the N.E. 28th Street entrance into the bank.
Once the construction fence is erected, please begin entering the branch from the I35 frontage road. Depending on your direction of travel, you can get to the branch the following ways:
- Customers traveling Southbound on I35, can take the 28th Street exit and enter the branch through the old drive-thru exit on the I35 service road. There is a sign at the road to show you where to turn into the branch.
- Customers traveling Northbound on I35, can take the 28th Street exit, turn left over the bridge, turn right on Deen Road (by QuikTrip), turn right on Dewey Street and then turn right on the I35 service road, where you will enter through the old drive-thru exit on the I35 service road.
- Customers traveling Eastbound or Westbound on 28th Street, can turn North on Deen Road (by QuikTrip), turn right on Dewey Street and then turn right on the I35 service road, where you will enter through the current drive-thru exit.
We have also provided a map below to help you navigate to the temporary branch once the construction fence is installed.
********** Friday, April 7th **********
Due to road construction, all Fort Worth customers will need to enter and exit the Fort Worth branch from the 28th Street entrance. Once you have entered the property, please go through the drive thru line and the temporary building is located directly behind the old bank building.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please keep checking your email and social media for information regarding the Fort Worth branch.
If you have any questions, please contact us at 817.759.9001.
**********Monday, March 27th**********
NBT Customer,
In 1973, NBT Financial (NBT) opened for business at 2535 N.E. 28th Street and began serving the financial needs of the citizens located on the Northside of Fort Worth. We are excited to announce, that after nearly 50 years in the same building, we are in the beginning stages of building a brand new banking facility for our customers. The new building will be located on the same property, just in front of the existing branch. However, in order for us to start construction on the new building, we must first remove the existing location. Although we will be removing the existing location, we will continue serving all of our customers out of a temporary branch, located behind the existing drive-thru.
When do these exciting changes take place?
On Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st, the 28th Street location will be closed to allow the time to move employees and equipment into the temporary branch. On Monday, April 3rd, we will open our temporary branch for business.
What do I need to know about the new temporary branch?
The temporary branch is located on the same property, in the parking lot directly behind the current drive-thru exit. This will be a full service branch with lobby and drive-thru customer access, utilizing the same banking hours as the current location. All of the smiling faces you are used to seeing will be in the temporary branch waiting to help you with all of your banking needs.
Will the temporary branch have an ATM?
The ATM will not be moving to the temporary branch. However, as communicated in November 2022, customers can use the ATM next door at QuikTrip and NBT will refund any fees associated with your ATM withdrawal. Once construction is completed on the new bank, we will have a brand new ATM for customers.
How will I get to the temporary branch?
As previously stated, the temporary branch is located behind the existing locations drive-thru. Currently, you can enter the NBT parking lot from 28th Street to access the existing location. However, once we are moved into the temporary branch, a security fence will be installed around the existing branch to protect the site during the construction of the new facility. This means customers will not be able to access the temporary branch from 28th Street. Depending on your direction of travel, you can get to the new temporary branch the following ways:
- Customers traveling Southbound on I35, can take the 28th Street exit and enter the temporary branch through the current drive-thru exit on the I35 service road.
- Customers traveling Northbound on I35, can take the 28th Street exit, turn left over the bridge, turn right on Deen Road (by QuikTrip), turn right on Dewey Street and then turn right on the I35 service road, where you will enter through the current drive-thru exit.
We apologize for this inconvenience, but hope you are excited about the new bank building. Please call us at 817-759-9001 or stop by the branch if you have any questions.
Sincerely
Jason Ballou
